Faith is not fear, and fear is not faith.
Christ is the way; but it is unto the father that the prodigal returns. The only method of reconciliation is the look unto Jesus, and looking on until confiding faith spring up; but the religious act of a soul saved is a trust in God.
Trust in the Lord, when a soul attains it, loosens every other bond, and makes it easy to let go all which the world gives. When you feel your footing firm in the peace of God, you will not be afraid though the earth should sink away from beneath you.
Trust is natural to the creature, although trust in the Lord is against the grain to the guilty.
