Jesus didn't come to the plastic parts of our lives. He came so we could experience freedom from the places in us that are most overwhelming to us. And in order to deal with that it feels like a death. It is painful and it hurts and Jesus knows that. ... Jesus invites us to a death that brings us to a resurrection."
